Randy received his M.D. from the Autonomous University of Central
America, San Jose, Costa Rica. He practiced medicine in Buenos Aires,
Costa Rica for four years before returning to the United States. During
this time he also received a degree in Health Care Management.
Upon return to the US, he worked as a Clinical Research Associate at
the University of Southern California – Kenneth Norris Comprehensive
Cancer Center, Los Angeles, CA. Randy worked on multiple oncology
studies for different sponsors, NIH grant projects, and the South West
Oncology Group (SWOG). After two years at the USC Cancer Center, he
worked at the USC – Geriatric Studies Center as a Clinical Project
Manager on Alzheimer’s disease, Depression and Cognitive Impairment
trials.
In 2005, Randy made the move from academia to industry. He started
working with Boston Scientific – Neuromodulation as Clinical Project
Manager for domestic and international clinical trials. A few years
later he transitioned to the role of Director of Worldwide Clinical
Affairs for MetaCure USA conducting global clinical trials. Randy
joined NeuroSystec in 2008 as Director of Clinical Projects.
